The head of the Chamber of Butchers of Tunisia, Ahmed Al-Amiri, called on the Grand Mufti of the republic to cancel Eid al-Adha due to a shortage of livestock and high meat prices.

And Ahmed Al-Amiri stated that “the price of meat has reached 40 dinars per kilogram, and a citizen of Tunisia cannot buy a sacrifice because of its high price.”

Al-Amiri also urged the government to set a single price for meat, noting that the sacrificial price would reach 1,300 dinars next year.
