Twitter is Testing a New Feature for Job Vacancies

Introduction

Twitter is reportedly working on a new feature that will allow documented organizations to advertise job vacancies directly on the platform. This feature will enable users to see and search for available jobs within the Twitter platform.

Indications of the New Feature

While Twitter has not officially announced this feature, there are several indications that it will be rolling out soon. One such indication is the creation of a Twitter account, [email protected], specifically for this expected feature. Twitter has also granted access to some institutions, like the “Workweek” organization, to post lists of available job openings.

Posting Job Openings on Twitter

According to screenshots posted online, Twitter will initially allow companies and organizations to post a maximum of 5 available jobs. This feature will provide access to a vast number of users on the platform.

Pricing and Benefits

Interestingly, organizations with documented Twitter accounts will have a monthly subscription price of $1,000. Additionally, there will be an extra charge of $50 for each affiliated account. However, the benefit of posting job openings for these accounts will be available at no extra cost. Users who are not part of the documented organizations will also be able to see the available jobs.

Twitter’s Focus on Work-related Features

Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, has previously expressed his interest in adding work-related features to the platform. This new feature aligns with Musk’s vision. Furthermore, Twitter recently acquired the online recruiting platform Laskie, making it Twitter’s first major deal under Musk’s leadership.

Competition with LinkedIn

This new feature puts Twitter in direct competition with other specialized platforms like “LinkedIn,” which is owned by Microsoft. With this move, Twitter aims to attract professionals and organizations looking for job opportunities.
