The Oman News Agency (ONA) reported Wednesday that Hydrome has signed two agreements worth a total of $10 billion to develop two new clean hydrogen projects with the POSCO-ENGE consortium and the Hayport Duqm consortium.

The agency said that two new projects will be implemented in Al Wusta province, and the total expected production will be 250 kilometers of tons of green hydrogen, equivalent to 6.5 gigawatts of renewable energy capacity.

Minister of Energy and Minerals Salem bin Nasser Al Awfi said the total number of projects signed for green hydrogen agreements in the Sultanate of Oman is 5 projects with an investment value exceeding $30 billion and an expected production of 750 metric tons of green hydrogen .
