Ukraine Begins Exporting Grain through Croatian Ports
Introduction
First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Sviridenko, has announced that the Kyiv authorities have started using Croatian ports for exporting grain.
Discussion at the Three Seas Initiative Summit
Sviridenko participated in a bilateral meeting with Croatian Prime Minister Andriy Plenkovic during the Three Seas Initiative summit in Bucharest. They discussed the opening of new trade routes for Ukrainian grain exports and focused on finding solutions to remove export restrictions on Ukrainian agricultural products.

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine quoted Sviridenko as saying, “Ukrainian grain has already begun to be exported through Croatian ports. This trade route has gained popularity and we are ready to further develop and expand its possibilities as a transportation corridor. We believe that this logistical route will continue to play an important role in bilateral trade between our two countries, even after the end of hostilities.”
Membership in the Three Seas Initiative
Earlier, Ukrainian media reported that Ukraine has become a partner in the Three Seas Initiative, while Moldova has received the same status.
