Clashes between the two sides of the conflict, between the army and the Rapid Support Forces, have been going on for about three months in the capital of Sudan, Khartoum.
Sudanese government sources denied any reports of a new truce with the Rapid Support Forces. The Sudanese government’s denial came after it became known that the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces would agree to a ceasefire in the coming days.
Satellite images have shown the extent of damage to many vital sites in El Geneina, the capital of Western Darfur state.
The photographs showed pictures of parts of the city before the war, as well as photographs showing the destruction that befell it a few weeks after the fighting began.
