US data showed that US inflation rose more than expected in January, suggesting that the Fed will continue to raise interest rates.

Data released today Tuesday showed that the consumer price index rose 0.5% m/m in January 2023, helped by gas and housing costs, while it was expected to rise by 0.4%.

On an annualized basis, consumer prices rose 6.4% in January 2023, compared to an expected 6.2%, according to a DailyFX survey.
