Wall Street’s major indexes opened higher on Thursday after data suggesting a resilient labor market and stronger-than-expected economic growth in the last quarter helped quell fears of a severe recession, while an upbeat Tesla Inc outlook bolstered sentiment.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 27.82 points, or 0.08%, to 33,771.66.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 opened up 19.86 points, or 0.49%, to 4,036.08, according to Reuters.

The Nasdaq Composite rose 145.05 points, or 1.28%, to a record 11,458.41 points.
