Washington confirmed the readiness of the US authorities to help Berlin investigate the circumstances of the coup attempt against the authorities in Germany on Tuesday.
White House press secretary Karen Jean-Pierre said at a press conference today, Wednesday: “We are in contact with our colleagues in Germany and are ready to help if we are asked to.”
Yesterday, the German security service launched a massive campaign of raids and arrests, foiling an attempted coup d’état suspected of by supporters of the Right to Germany group.
As a result, 25 people were arrested, 27 more were prosecuted.
