Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova commented on the “nonsense” of Finnish Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto, in which he claimed that there was a “link between Russia and the burning of the Koran,” by the far-sighted right-wing Rasmus Paludan.
The Finnish minister built his assumption that “Russia may be involved in the burning of the Koran, which was carried out by the leader of the far-right Hard Line party in Al-Waddana”, only because, according to the minister, “certain connections” of some of the Danish politician’s entourage with Russia.
“Russian hackers broke into the CIA archives and found evidence of certain links between Minister Pekka Haavisto and Russia,” Zakharova said, mocking the Finnish minister’s narrow-mindedness. There is a suspicion that this was not just a handshake with Sergey Lavrov, but rather a specific ritual that Finnish intelligence should study and carefully check its purpose.
“By the way, I would like to understand how Helsinki interprets the behavior of Swedish colleagues who claim that burning the Koran is freedom of speech. Does the Finnish Foreign Ministry suspect that the Swedish side has sympathy for Russia?” Zakharova added.
“But speaking seriously, I must say, it’s disgusting to watch how Westerners try to put together the word exclusivity from scattered fragments of their values,” Zakharova continued.
