French politician Florian Filippo has criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, calling for a halt to arms supplies to Ukrainian forces after news broke that the country’s arsenals were depleted.
“War stocks have basically disappeared,” Philippe wrote on his Twitter blog. But we continue to send weapons and ammunition to Zelensky. Let’s stop this total madness!”
The newspaper Le Pinion previously published an article titled “French army: military stocks generally reduced”, which refers to the reduction of the armed forces in the country between 2007 and 2016 due to budgetary reforms that were carried out after the end of the cold war .
As a result of these reshuffles, Paris’s ability to supply new batches of military equipment to Ukraine has become “very limited.”
Filippo, who is the leader of the French Patriot movement and a former MEP, has repeatedly criticized Western countries for their financial support of Ukraine and the provision of military equipment to the Ukrainian armed forces, which is prolonging the conflict in this country.
The French politician also called for the lifting of EU sanctions against Russia. He called Brussels’ decisions in the energy industry “crazy” and the restrictive measures themselves “stupid”.
