North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and his daughter visited a warehouse of nuclear-capable KN-23 missiles and Hwaseong-12 medium-range ballistic missiles.

And the Yonhap news agency reported that North Korean television released footage of Kim Jong-un searching an undisclosed missile depot while walking with his daughter. In one of the photos, about 10 Hwaseong-12 missiles are being examined, and in the photo, about 10 mobile launchers for KN-23 missiles, which are described as similar to Russian Iskander missiles, are being examined.

And the agency added that these images of Kim Jong-un and his daughter were broadcast without explanation on North Korean television in a special report on the sixth meeting of the ruling party, which was held December 26-30 last year.

The agency confirmed that the appearance of a child in these videos, in its opinion, symbolizes “a new future for the people of North Korea” and indicates the need for North Korea to possess nuclear weapons as “a tool to protect future generations.” According to IAEA experts, this move is aimed at reassuring the population of North Korea and convincing them of the “legitimacy” of nuclear weapons.

He quotes Hong Min, the head of the North Korea Research Center affiliated with the Institute for National Unification of Korea, who said: “The fact that during the announcement of the results of the party plenum, screened footage of Kim Joo Ae (who is Kim Jong Un’s daughter) was shown to the nuclear missile base , which is a confirmation message of “security for future generations to unite them (North Koreans)”.

Kim Jong-un announced at the Sixth Congress of the Workers’ Party of North Korea the need to strengthen the country’s nuclear forces, mass production of nuclear warheads, create a new system of intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of inflicting a swift counterattack, and complete the project to create a reconnaissance satellite and its carrier. Kim stressed that the situation, when “South Korean puppets” have clearly become an enemy for North Korea, requires a significant increase in the number of nuclear warheads in the arsenal of the DPRK, pointing out the importance and necessity of mass production of tactical nuclear weapons.
