The Moroccan national team staged an incendiary meeting with their Portuguese counterpart in the quarterfinals of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Morocco qualified for the role for the first time in their history, after edging out Spain in the final price, beating them 3–0 on penalties after the end of their match’s original and extra time in a negative draw.
As for Portugal, they booked their place by beating Switzerland six goals to one.
The Morocco-Portugal match will take place in the quarter-finals next Saturday at 15:00 GMT at the Al-Tumama Stadium in Doha.
This will be the third confrontation between the two teams since they have met on two previous occasions, both of which are in the World Cup group stage.
The first match between the two teams took place at the 1986 World Cup, where the Atlas Lions won 3-1.
As for the second confrontation, it was at the last Russia-2018 World Cup, when Portugal snatched victory with an unanswered goal, bearing the signature of the star Cristiano Ronaldo.
