The Organizing Committee of the Gulf Cup 25 football championship announced today, Thursday, the change in the dates of the opening ceremony of the tournament, which will take place from (6 to 19) January 2023.
And the tournament’s official Twitter account released a statement saying: “The Organizing Committee of the Arabian Gulf Cup Championship, Gulf 25, has amended the opening dates of the tournament so that it will be at (5:45) in the evening, provided that the match opening will take place between Iraq and the Sultanate of Oman.” , January 6, 2023

Eight teams take part in the tournament: UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Yemen, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain.
The first group includes the national teams of Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman and Yemen, and their matches will be held at the Basra International Stadium.
On the other hand, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait teams participate in the second group and play their matches at Al Mina Stadium.
It is noteworthy that the Bahrain national team became the champion of the latest version of 2019 at the expense of their Saudi colleague, defeating him (1: 0) in the final match of the tournament in Qatar.
While the Kuwait national team holds the record for the most crowned Gulf Cup champions with 10 titles, a whopping 7 times its closest rivals, which are the teams of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Iraq.
