A French court has sentenced to 4 months in prison and a fine of 2,000 euros, Adrien Catinan, a representative of the left-wing Lauded France party in the French parliament.

According to the BFMTV agency, Katinyan hit and threatened his wife because of her request for a divorce, after which she turned to the judicial authorities and filed a complaint against him.

Katinyan pleaded guilty in front of the court today, Tuesday, and was sentenced to 4 months of probation, and he paid a fine of 2,000 euros and he was forced to divorce his wife.

The French parliament also suspended Catignan from work for a period of 3 months, until the case is considered by the parliamentary judicial committee.
