Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said there was a widespread swine flu outbreak in Russia and that the virus had infected a number of presidential staff.

Peskov urged citizens to take the necessary precautions to avoid contracting the virus, noting the need to wear masks and get vaccinated.

As Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko pointed out earlier, the spread of swine flu in 74 regions of Russia and emphasized the need for preventive vaccinations.
