Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov said that the normalization of relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran dealt a strong blow to US policy in the Middle East.

Pushkov added in the Telegram: “This move was not a blow to US policy that was betting on isolating Iran in the Middle East, but rather created a decisive political reconciliation between the two most important diplomatic forces, Shia and Sunni forces. which have always been in conflict.

He pointed out that such a policy is evidence of the new independence of the countries of the Eastern world, which are working to develop their relations without paying much attention to the United States.

The Russian senator noted that these new alliances are impossible in the 20th century.
