The American company Boeing announced the purchase of Boeing CH-47F Chinook aircraft by Egypt to modernize its fleet.

Boeing said deliveries of the aircraft are expected to begin in 2026.

According to Reuters, Egypt received the approval of the US military, which awarded the company a contract to produce 12 CH-47F Chinook aircraft for the Egyptian Air Force.

The deal is valued at $426 million and includes the replacement of the Egyptian fleet (CH-47D) with the new “F” model.
