The Russian company Gazprom announced that it had increased daily gas supplies to Chinese consumers compared to the volumes planned for December, and indicated that the increase was made at the request of China.

The Russian gas company added that deliveries of blue fuel to China via the Power of Siberia gas pipeline reached a new record on December 7, and stated that the increase was 16.1%.

Gazprom exports natural gas to China on the basis of a long-term bilateral agreement concluded between it and China’s CNPC.

The Power of Siberia is a gas pipeline designed to transport Russian natural gas from fields in the Russian Far East to China, deliveries through it to China began on December 2, 2019.
