Spanish network Defensa Central has reported that Real Madrid are exploring the idea of a contract with Moroccan goalkeeper Yassin Bono, the Atlas Lions and Sevilla team goalkeeper, next summer.

Yassin Bounou played remarkably at the Qatar 2022 World Cup and managed to lead the Moroccan national team to the semi-finals of the tournament.

According to the Defensa Central network, Real Madrid are planning to sign Yacine Bono in order to maintain the position of goalkeeper at the Royal Club.

The network indicates that the royal team intends to get rid of goalkeeper Andrei Lunin and wants to sign an outstanding goalkeeper who will be the first alternative to the Belgian Thibault Courtois.

Courtois has been absent from Real Madrid matches for quite some time this season due to injury.

She explained that Real Madrid wanted to exploit Sevilla’s need to sell players and reform the budget by pushing for a deal with Bono to be settled.

She said that Sevilla did not intend to give Bono for less than 30 million euros, but Real Madrid would not agree to pay this amount for a replacement goalkeeper.
