Omani shipping company Asyad said it posted a net profit of 54 million rials ($140 million) in 2022, with revenue rising to 385 million Omani rials ($1 billion).

Al-Naziri pointed out that the cost of the current maintenance operations of the company’s fleet is about 35 million OMR annually, and the periodic maintenance of the company’s fleet has been completely carried out in the dry dock in Duqma since 2014 AD, except for emergency cases, which are represented by the distance of the ship from Sultanate of Oman, according to Omani News.

He said that the total number of vessels in the Asyad fleet for sea transportation by the end of 2022 amounted to 84 tankers for various purposes, adding that in 2023 the company plans to replenish its fleet with two container ships and acquire 3 more vessels for the transport of bulk cargo. materials.

He explained that Asyad Maritime Transport’s fleet has reached 220 ports around the world, including ports that the company has visited regularly, so that the number of port calls by the company’s fleet reached about 950 during 2022, during which the company transported almost 300 million Human. barrels of crude oil and large quantities of bulk materials.

He stated that the company’s share of the local bulk materials market is 12%, and plans to increase it to 30% by 2027, and the company’s share of liquefied natural gas exports is 34%.
