And in a statement from the organization on its official website last night, Thursday, it is indicated that the number of injuries decreased by 38%, and 1,720,356 cases and 10,463 deaths were recorded in the world in 4 weeks.
Most of the cases during this period were detected in the Republic of Korea – 470,093. It is followed by Australia (147,684 people), Brazil (113,286 people), France (93,850 people) and the USA (93,260 people). While the United States recorded the highest number of deaths in the period from May 8 to June 4 – 1943.
At the end of the list are Brazil (1074), France (555), Italy (549) and Russia (532).
The information released on June 7 and published on the website of the World Organization says that 767,750,853 cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the world, 6,941,095 people have died.
In turn, the Director General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said at a press conference held on May 5 in Geneva that the real death toll from this virus is at least 20 million people.
